Barred Owl

A Barred Owl showed up at dusk last night, we were 

able to call it down with a recording. This owl in the 

photo was in the neighborhood several years ago.

Two Tropical Kingbirds showed up late today,

that's a life bird for me

Sutton Hike

Lisa and I took advantage of the break in the weather

and took a hike at Sutton. There was one Red Phalarope

and a beautiful view.

Adele turns double nickels, and that's cause to

celebrate in Jane's new house

There were 12+Red Phalaropes at the outer pond

at Siltcoos Outlet this afternoon, as well as a River Otter

What a gorgeous day at Hollman Vista on the 

Sutton Trails today. Now the next front is moving in.

Tahkenitch Dunes

Mary and I took a hike out to the Tahkenitch Dunes today.

Signs of Autumn

The Witchazel is all golden right now. I'm afraid

it's all gone with the storm that's brewing.

The Yellow-rumped Warblers are back! Yesterday

they showed up en-masse to spend the winter.

They love the pond.

They were all in the Witchazel today.
